Moscato d'Asti DOCG

The vine thrives on hills with calcareous soil, preferring a dry and ventilated climate, and is able to withstand periods of drought.Moscato Bianco is the most widespread and also the most prized variety. The harvest takes place from late August to early September. Harvesting is done only when the grape cluster has reached an optimal level of aromas and acidity while maintaining excellent health.Winemaking involves a soft pressing, followed by a clarification phase with cold storage, and then fermentation and secondary fermentation in an autoclave at 18°C, which can last up to 25 days. This process concludes with bottling. The wine has an unmistakable straw-yellow color, an intense aromatic bouquet rich in floral nuances with a balanced sweetness. It is a young wine and should be consumed within the year following the harvest. It is a typical after-dinner wine to accompany dessert, but it can also be served with soft and aged cheeses. The ideal serving temperature is around 6-8°C.
